INILAH.COM, London – Produsen film porno Vivid Entertainment (VE) melayangkan tuntutannya pada HTC. Ada apa gerangan?

Tuntutan ini muncul sebagai respon atas rilisnya smartphone Android baru HTC, Vivid yang menggunakan prosesor 1,2GHz dual core Snapdragon dengan RAM 1GB dan media penyimpanan 16GB. Alhasil, VE merasa gerah karena penggunaan nama ini.

VE menyebutkan, penggunaan kata ‘Vivid’ oleh HTC ini akan menimbulkan kebingungan. VE menuntut agar HTC menghentikan semua penjualan dan aktivitas pemasaran perangkat barunya ini hingga namanya diubah.

Kasus ini menjadi kasus pertama yang menempatkan HTC dalam ‘air mendidih’. Menurut laporan The Verge, juru bicara HTC mengatakan, “Sedang mengulas keluhan ini dan akan kembali dengan solusi untuk masalah ini." [mor]
